Color Vision Self-Test
Color vision defects are very common. Five percent of males and maybe less than one half of one percent of females are color deficient. In most cases they do see colors, but some shades that normals can tell are different appear to be the same shade to them. In the color plates below a color deficient person cannot distinguish between the dots creating the number and the background dots. See the correct responses below.
The correct response is 25, 8, 6, 56, 45. The first image (#25) is a malingering image. Everyone should see it. If they claim they do not see the number and have normal visual acuity they are faking.
